With support from Cognizant, the Fowler Family Foundation, and the Leonard Gelfand STEM Center, TECH CORPS will implement its Techie Camp® program with 160 students at Case Western Reserve University during the summer of 2017.
Techie Camp is a full-day, week-long technology experience designed specifically for elementary and middle school students. The goal of Techie Camp is to engage students in activities that can stimulate a deeper interest in technology; as well as provide opportunities for them to express their imaginations.
Each camp is comprised of 20 students and lead by two TECH CORPS Instructors. Families will be responsible for transportation and lunch/two snacks/beverages. Camps will be held at Case Western Reserve University.
Please contact Alexis Crosby, Northeast Ohio Regional Director with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org or 216-315-8240 TECH CORPS.
Students interested in being selected to participate will need to complete an online application. Applications will be evaluated in the order received. Up to 20 students will be selected for each camp based on their application (10 points), essay (60 points) and letter of recommendation (30 points). Student notifications will begin the week of May 1, 2017. Applicants have until April 21, 2017 to turn in application materials.
