TECH CORPS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring ALL K-12 students have access to high-quality computer science learning experiences, skills and resources that enhance early learning and prepare them for college and career. TECH CORPS develops technology programs and deploys tech-savvy talent to assist K-12 schools and youth-serving organizations across the country.

Position:     Full-time, exempt
Location:     Central Ohio
Wage:     $35,000-$45,000 (commensurate with experience)


Position Summary

Full-time, exempt position to administer TECH CORPS in Central Ohio region. Position has primary responsibility for managing the day- to-day programming in Central Ohio including supervising TECH CORPS programs, staff and volunteer network; conducting student outreach and recruitment; ensuring adequate resources are in place to deliver programming; and expanding the impact of TECH CORPS in the region.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Implement, support and evaluate TECH CORPS programs in region.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with program implementation partners.
  • Recruit, train and manage volunteer workforce.
  • Recruit, train and manage volunteer workforce.
  • Recruit program participants for community-based programs.
  • Prepare program and grant reports.
  • Manage communication and public relation functions for TECH CORPS, including development of multiple strategies for communicating with education, business, government and community stakeholders.
  • Collect data and deliver program reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Passion (for the mission of the organization), Creativity and Initiative.
  • One to three years of experience with formal/informal education and/or nonprofit organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Preferred Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently and to manage multiple projects without close supervision.
  • Demonstrated planning, organizational and communication skills both written and oral.
  • Experience recruiting and managing volunteers.
  • Experience in working collaboratively and effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience writing grants and/or project proposals.
  • Experience with using and creating database applications.
  • Experience working with a nonprofit board, steering committee or planning team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of STEM initiatives with a focus on technology and computer science.

Direct Report: The TECH CORPS Manager, Special Projects reports to the TECH CORPS Director of Operations
