Organizational Overview:

TECH CORPS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring K-12 students have equal access to Computer Science (CS) and Information Technology (IT) programs, skills and resources that enhance early learning and prepare them for college and career. TECH CORPS develops technology programs and deploys tech-savvy talent to assist K-12 schools and youth-serving organizations across the country.

The mission of TECH CORPS is three-fold and is achieved through:

  • PROGRAMS. Bringing additional technology resources to K-12 students and teachers through national, state and local programs such as Computing Career Corps, E4Tech, High School Coding Camp, Student Code Corps, Student TECH CORPS, Student WEB CORPS, Techie Camp, and Techie Club.
  • PEOPLE. Recruiting and supporting tech-savvy volunteers from the community to advise and assist schools and youth-serving organizations in the integration of new technologies.
  • PARTNERS. Increasing educational technology resources through partnerships with education, business, government and community.

Position Summary

Full-time, exempt position to administer TECH CORPS in Northeast Ohio region. Position has primary responsibility for managing the day-to-day programming in Northeast Ohio including, developing and supervising TECH CORPS programs, employees and volunteer network; ensuring adequate resources are in place to carry out programming and expanding the impact of TECH CORPS in the region. The TECH CORPS Regional Director reports to the TECH CORPS Director of Operations.


Position:     Regional Director, Full-Time Position
Salary Range:     $35,000-$40,000, commensurate with experience

  • Work with TECH CORPS Director of Operations and Northeast Ohio Planning Team to develop goals and plans for expanding TECH CORPS in region.
  • Work with TECH CORPS Director of Operations and National Director to develop and execute fundraising strategies, including grant writing.
  • Implement, support and evaluate TECH CORPS programs in region.
  • Recruit, train and manage volunteer workforce.
  • Recruit program participants for community-based programs.
  • Prepare program and grant reports.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with program implementation partners.
  • Support TECH CORPS staff in region.
  • Manage communication and public relation functions for TECH CORPS, including development of multiple strategies for communicating with education, business, government and community stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Passion (for the mission of the organization), Creativity and Initiative.
  • One to three years of experience with formal/informal education and/or nonprofit organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.


  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently and to manage multiple projects without close supervision.
  • Demonstrated planning, organizational and communication skills both written and oral.
  • Experience recruiting and managing volunteers.
  • Experience in working collaboratively and effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience writing grants and/or project proposals.
  • Experience with using and creating database applications.
  • Experience working with a nonprofit board, steering committee or planning team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of STEM initiatives with a focus on technology and computer science.
