NSBE Jr Chapter
The TECH CORPS NSBE Jr. Chapter is an official chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers and a collaborative effort between TECH CORPS and the NSBE Central Ohio Alumni Extension.
The Chapter seeks to engage, motivate, and challenge students through hands-on interactive Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) activities. The overarching goal of the program is to support and encourage students to attend college and pursue technical degrees.
The 2011-2012 TECH CORPS NSBE Jr. Chapter meets throughout the school year beginning in September. Students work on college prep and advanced STEM topics with practicing engineers, scientists, and other technical professionals from NSBE’s Central Ohio Alumni Extension. Students in the TECH CORPS NSBE Jr. Chapter have an exclusive opportunity to learn how STEM-related degrees can lead to a successful career in disciplines like Business, Banking, Law, Construction, and of course Engineering, Science, and Technology.
