Children's Software

Interested in purchasing educational software for your child or students? Here are some websites dedicated to reviewing the latest software titles.

Children's Software Review -- Their "All Star" list of children's software is divided into programs suitable for PreSchool, Early Elementary (Grades K-2), and Upper Elementary (Grades 3-6) age students.

Children's Software Press -- A newsletter devoted to software for children of all ages and their families. A joint development of Children's Software Press and the Department of Computing in Education at Teacher's College, Columbia University.

Children's Storybooks Online -- A great place to start to reach some great children's books. Check out Theodore Tugboat and Lea McAndrew's "Round Bird Can't Fly" as starting points for your enjoyment.

The Edutainment Page -- Now a part of School PC Australia (yes, it was created there, by a mother!), this page is dedicated to reviews and discussion of education and home software. While it hasn't been updated since 1996, it includes an excellent list of the classic favorites.

Superkid's Educational Software Review -- The introduction on the homepage says it all: Welcome to SuperKids, an impartial source of information for parents and teachers - children's software reviews based on objective analyses by parents, teachers and kids, advice that will improve your child's education and save you money, the place to come before you buy! The most comprehensive site on the topic we have seen thus far!
