TECH CORPS develops technology programs and deploys tech-savvy volunteers to assist K-12 students
TECH CORPS volunteers use their technology expertise to educate, excite and empower students
Since 1995, more than 10,000 TECH CORPS volunteers have shared their time and expertise with K-12 students and teachers in their communities.
Current Volunteer Opportunities:
Ohio – Cincinnati and Columbus: TECHie Club
TECHie Clubs are comprised of up to 20 third-fifth grade students and meet weekly for 60-90 minutes during the school year. Schools designate a Site Coordinator to manage students and assist volunteers. TECH CORPS staff trains and supports teams of tech-savvy volunteers to use the TECHie Club Lessons to introduce students to computing topics. Depending on the size of the school’s volunteer team, volunteers will visit the school weekly or bi-weekly.
Ohio – Columbus: TECH CORPS/NSBE Jr. Chapter
The Chapter is comprised of up to 15 high school students from around Franklin County and meets from 9am-12pm on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month. Volunteers assist students with science/engineering labs and Math ACT and Competition prep. The Chapter meets throughout the school year.

Tech Corps was founded in 1995 by Gary Beach , Publisher Emeritus of CIO Magazine. Gary envisioned an organization which would challenge American volunteers to help K-12 schools build a technology infrastructure -- much like the Peace Corps challenges men and women to help developing countries build their infrastructures.
