TECH CORPS Awarded Prestigious Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency

TECH CORPS, a national nonprofit dedicated to advancing computer science education to K-12 students traditionally underrepresented in technology, proudly announces its recognition with the prestigious Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency for 2024. This acknowledgment, presented by Candid (formerly known as GuideStar), underscores TECH CORPS’ unwavering commitment to the highest standards of transparency and accountability in its mission to bridge the technology gap in education.

In 2023, only a select few U.S.-based non-profit organizations, constituting fewer than one percent, received the distinguished Platinum Seal of Transparency.

“We are honored to be awarded Candid’s Platinum Seal for the third consecutive year,” remarked TECH CORPS Chief Executive Officer, Lisa M. Chambers. “Our commitment to transparency and efficiency, coupled with the dedication of our Board of Directors and staff, ensures that a substantial portion of TECH CORPS’ budget is directed towards delivering high-quality computer science education experiences to K-12 students and educators.”

TECH CORPS’ website, as well as its updated profile on Candid, includes the latest information from 2023, encompassing its mission, metrics, board, and pertinent public documents, such as its 990.  This transparent sharing of data reflects TECH CORPS’ commitment to showcasing the positive difference it is making.

With the Candid Platinum Rating, supporters of TECH CORPS can be assured that their contributions are channeled towards impactful computer science education experiences and efforts such as the Volunteer Build.
