The TECH CORPS team grows with the announcement of three new staff members.
TECH CORPS hired Kristen Gillenwater as the Regional Manager for Central Ohio. Gillenwater will manage program implementation and operations for TECH CORPS in the Central Ohio region.
Gillenwater has over 15 years of experience building strategic partnerships within the Columbus community. She is a graduate of Otterbein University, with a Computer Science major. Kristen is an active volunteer and member of the community, giving back through organizations such as 100 Women of Westerville, the Boy Scouts of America and the Westerville North Theatre Department.
TECH CORPS hired Newton Kimberly as Development Associate. Kimberly will work closely with the National Executive Director with all development activities including corporate donations, grant solicitation and special events.
Newton Kimberly has over five years of experience working with nonprofit organization, where he discovered his passion for fundraising and development. He obtained his Master of Public Administration degree as well as a graduate certificate in Nonprofit Management from Cleveland State University. He received his undergraduate degree in Sociology from Ohio Wesleyan University.
TECH CORPS hired Juny Sylus as Manager, Special Projects. Sylus will oversee the day-to-day implementation of TECH CORPS’ public grant programs in Franklin County. Sylus has worked with various nonprofit organizations in Columbus and is passionate about working in service of the residents of the greater Columbus community. She attended the Ohio State University, majoring in Public Health and Women’s Gender Studies. She is a volunteer with Columbus Chapter Alzheimer’s Association and an active member of the Columbus Urban League Young Professionals. She is an alumnus of the YWCA Chase/Gen-Y Leadership Project and formerly served as the Social-Cultural Chair for Columbus Young Professionals.
