Mentor
Students will be placed on project teams of five (5); each project team will have a mentor who will provide guidance and support to the team during the development of their project and presentation. The right person for this position is energetic, supportive, and likes working with teenagers!
Mentors must commit to volunteering Saturday from 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Lunch, snacks, and dinner will be provided.
Logistics Volunteer
As a logistics volunteer, you will assist with event logistics such as table setup/break-down, registration and other event support.
Logistics volunteers may sign up for 1 – 6 shifts based on availability:
- Set up/Registration, 8:00am – 10:00am
- Lunch, 11:00am – 1:00pm
- General Support, 2:30pm – 4:30pm
- Dinner, 4:30pm – 6:00pm
- Presentations, 6:00pm – 8:30pm
- Wrap up, 8:00pm – 9:30pm
Judge
As a judge, you will view and assess each team’s presentations and provide feedback using a predetermined rubric (based on the criteria of creativity of project, students’ ability to explain the project, real-world application of the project and overall presentation). The right person for this position has experience using mobile apps and/or technical expertise in programming or development, can provide constructive criticism, and desires to see high school students succeed!
Judges must commit to volunteering on Saturday, November 9th or 16th, from 6:30 pm- 8:30 pm.

We would love to include some fun branded items from your marketing closet, such as pens, notepads, stickers, water bottles, or any other promotional materials you may have on hand. Our event will host 500 students across Ohio – you are welcome to add your items to swag bags in one or all five cities:
- Akron: 75 items
- Cleveland: 25 items
- Columbus 300 items
- Dayton: 25 items
- Elyria: 75 items
